Microsoft Lync Server End User Course

Description
This three- hour course is designed to give end-users of
Microsoft Lync the knowledge and skills to use Lync in their
day-to- day job. instructor-led lectures and demos will be
combined with hands-on lab activities in order to gain a working
knowledge of the Lync product.
Audience
Microsoft Lync end-users.
Prerequisites
Your organization must have adopted/be planning to adopt the
Microsoft Lync Server software product at your office.
Course Outline
Unit 1: Make and answer calls
Use the tips in learned in this unit to use Microsoft® Lync™
2010 communications software to place and receive phone calls,
manage your voice mail, and collaborate over video and
conference calls. Learn about how you can contact a person from
almost anywhere you see that person’s picture. Find the person
you want to call by typing his or her name or number in the Lync
2010 search box.

Unit 3: Schedule and join an online meeting
You can schedule a Microsoft® Lync™ 2010 meeting or conference
call by using the Online Meeting Add-in for Microsoft® Lync™
2010. You can also use Lync 2010 to start an unscheduled meeting
to discuss something that requires immediate attention.
IMPORTANT Lync supports both online meetings and conference
calls. One meeting request is used for both purposes.

integrated call-management program that allows you to
effectively manage many conversations at once by quickly

Unit 6: Use Lync 2010 Attendee
With Microsoft® Lync™ 2010 Attendee communications software, you
can join Microsoft® Lync™ 2010 meetings with attendee and
presenter privileges, and can also join as an authenticated
user. Attendees can participate in any communication of content
that a client with attendee or presenter privileges has.
