Preparation for Project Management Institute PMP and CAPM Examinations
Duration: 5 Days
Objectives:
- Prepare and guide students for the Project Management Institute (PMI) certification Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) examinations.
Course Overview and Job Roles Addressed:
- The students will participate in instructor led training and discussion, e-training leading to acquiring PMI instructional units and a comprehensive practice examination.
- This class is designed for the student with extensive project management experience already for the PMP certification or those looking to start into the project management field with the CAPM certification

Course Outline
Day One and Two:
- High level instructor led training and discussion of the role of The Project Management Institute and the certification process.
- Understand the relationships between portfolios, programs and projects with emphasis on the manager roles for each.
- Understand the five phases of a project and the corresponding 42 controls used to implement established best practices.
Day Three and Four:
- Emphasis on the SkillSoft e-learning content to allow the students the opportunity to acquire requisite Project Management PDU’s for certification.
- Day four afternoon complete a test quality practice examination
Day Five:
- Review of practice exam with directed discussion and instruction centered on identified areas of concern.
