Premier Knowledge Solutions of St. Louis: Your Instructors

About our Premier Knowledge Solutions instructors, in their own words…Instructor-led training St. Louis MO, instructors, ILT, training, Premier Knowledge Solutions

Terry Harger is currently an instructor at PKS for the Microsoft Office Applications including Microsoft Office365 and Skype for Business Training, CompTIA’s A+, Network+, Security + and Advanced Security Practitioner, as well as SharePoint (versions 2007-2013) and he dabbles in Windows Server 2008 and 2012, too. I have lived in Southern Illinois for a long time and in St. Louis for the last six years. I spent about 13 years as a High School Math Teacher until I decided that I change as needed, and so, started teaching in the technology field. If and when I get some spare time, I will usually see what new fun gadgets are out there that I can use at the office.

Jamell Mixon is a Former Continued Education Teacher for the St. Louis Public School District that has been an MCSE since 1998. He started off with a focus on web based technologies like proxy servers, web servers and web design. Jamell then moved into security about 9 yrs. ago with Microsoft, Security + and CEH. You’ll find Jamell teaching our Windows Server 2012 R2, Exchange, Private Cloud, System Center, Windows Operating System (Windows 7, 8.1. and 10), Windows Client , Skype for Business, Microsoft Office365 Implementation/Deployment classes and CCNA courses. His most favorite class to teach is the CCNA course as it offers a departure from the other primary classes he teaches and allows for Jamell to cover several topics within the condensed time frame. Jamell is most proud of my MCSE certifications that he continues to maintain. Outside of work he likes to dedicate the time he has to supporting youth and others in underprivileged and underserved areas. He’s also a big sports fan (boxing, football, track, basketball). In his spare time? He loves to travel and ride horses.

Brad Robbins comes to PKS with a diverse and experienced background in the training industry: U.S. Air Force Master Instructor, AeroIT Certified with CompTIA (otherwise known as IT In the sky!), and an Occupational Instructor. You’ll find Brad connecting with his students in the Office & Desktop Application courses, CompTIA A+, Network +, Security+, Project Management Professional (PMP) and he’s working towards his ITIL Certifications, too. In his spare time, Brad enjoys the open road on his motorcycle, teaching motorcycle safety courses, spending time with his family, and learning… always learning.

Mark Russell, one of the PKS instructors is a “people-person who loves computers,” (and in a previous life was a minister.) My first computer was in 1978: an Interdata 70 with 64K of magnetic cores and a teletype interface that took up half the dining room. Mark spent a big portion of him time in ministry in the 1980s and he put his skills to good use, helping churches to automate their processes during the 1980s (along with a brief stint in security for the TSA). “Since retiring from active ministry I have been in the classroom teaching all things technology for the last 20+ years and am known to shout from the rooftops that Microsoft SharePoint rocks! (And PowerShell rocks even harder!)” Mark teaches everything from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Microsoft SharePoint for the end user and IT Pro, to EC-Council’s CEHv9, CompTIA’s Advanced Security Practitioner class, Coding & SQL courses, CISSP and ITIL; he may not say it but he’s an ITIL Expert and we are pretty proud of him for that. When Mark isn’t in the classroom, you can find him filling the pulpit for pastors who are on vacation or study leave, and doing volunteer administrative work for a couple of non-profits in Alton.
